Mary Lynn Miller joined SHRM-Atlanta as Executive Director in December, 2006.  Miller is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) who started her association management career in 1981.  Since coming to SHRM-Atlanta, Miller has worked with volunteer Board and leadership, and the staff team, to achieve significant innovation and results.  SHRM-Atlanta has grown 40% since 2006 and has achieved 22% improvement in member satisfaction ratings as measured by membership surveys.  During Miller’s tenure, SHRM-Atlanta has launched a quarterly print magazine, monthly electronic magazine, webinar offerings, and a revamped sponsorship program, among other new member benefits and events.

Prior to SHRM-Atlanta, she served as CFO of the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper (TAPPI) and simultaneously as Executive Director of the TAPPI Foundation.  TAPPI is a prestigious, global organization serving scientists, engineers, and managers in the pulp, paper and converting industries.  While at TAPPI, Miller participated with the Board in strategic and operational planning, reorganizations, financial analysis, new business ventures and partnerships.  During her long tenure at TAPPI, Miller managed a variety of business operations including publishing, educational programs, new product development, marketing and sales.   Miller has also previously served as Director of Finance for the Association of Information Systems (AIS), an organization serving faculty who teach information systems worldwide. 

Miller has an MBA from Mercer, BS from Brenau, and completed the Institute for Organizational Management offered by the US Chamber of Commerce.  She is a member of the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) and has previously served in various volunteer roles with GSAE, GSAE Foundation, the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE,) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).  She was named one of GSAE’s 90 Movers & Shakers in 2007. 

 

Jean Yahres, CMP

Jean Yahres joined SHRM-Atlanta in June 2005 and serves as a Senior Conference and Association Manager.  Yahres is a certified meeting professional (CMP) and is responsible for the planning and logistics of SHRM-Atlanta's 120+ programs each year.  She has extensive worldwide conference management experience and has conducted speaker management for programs consisting of 100+ speakers. 

Yahres also manages all communications for the chapter including The Human Resource, The eHuman Resource, e-bulletins and e-blasts.  She is also responsible for all web content and updates as well as provides support to the volunteer leadership teams.

Prior to joining Meeting Expectations and SHRM-Atlanta, Yahres worked for various third party conference management companies in Denver, CO and Minneapolis, MN.  She also worked as a Trip Director for 4+ years and traveled the world handling all onsite logistics for corporate meetings and incentive programs.

Yahres has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double emphasis in Marketing and Small Business Management from the University of Wisconsin – Superior.  She has been a member of PCMA (Professional Convention Management Assocation), MPI (Meeting Planners International), and GSAE (Georgia Society of Assocation Executives) through the years and has served in various volunteer positions within each association. 

 

Lacey Damico

Lacey Damico joined the Meeting Expectations Association Management Group in February of 2008 bringing with her a background in accounting, business development and marketing.  She is responsible for client association management, which includes volunteers and committees at the EVP level and below. 

Lacey was also responsible for developing and implementing a resource partner program which she continues to develop and change based on economic conditions and the needs of the association.  Lacey also manages website content and development for sponsorship opportunities.

Lacey is responsible for resource partner communications including monthly newsletters, promotions, advertisements and website recognition.  She develops on-site recognition for resource partners and is also responsible for the production of event graphics, which include signage, PowerPoint presentations, flyers and program books.

Lacey handles all aspects of pre-event, on-site and post-event logistics for resource partners, which includes exhibit hall design, setup and management of 130+ booths.  She manages various conference vendors including general service contractors, security vendors and first aid.

Lacey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University.
 

Gabrielle Nicolini

Gabrielle Nicolini joined SHRM-Atlanta in May of 2010 as the Membership Marketing Manager. Though she’s recently joined the SHRM-Atlanta tea, she has been working for Meeting Expectations since August 2006. Gabrielle is responsible for regular and corporate membership marketing and renewals. She also supports the Membership committees.

Gabrielle graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

 

Lindsay Donaldson

Lindsay Donaldson joined SHRM-Atlanta in January of 2009 as the Membership and Registration Coordinator.  Although she recently joined the SHRM-Atlanta team, she has been working for Meeting Expectations since March 2006.  Donaldson is responsible for managing all event registration logistics including pre, onsite and post activities for the 120+ events per year. 

In addition, Donaldson helps maintain the membership database and manages the SHRM-Atlanta main phone line and general information email box.  Donaldson generates reports used for various event and membership promotions and helps to support the GEM and PEG committees.

Donaldson graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

 

Tenez Quarles

Tenez Quarles is the Accounting Manager and has worked with SHRM-Atlanta since joining Meeting Expectations in June of 2006 as a Staff Accountant.  Quarles is responsible for managing all financial activity for SHRM-Atlanta including Accounts Receivable and Payable, Bank Reconciliations, preparation of the monthly Financials and the annual Audit. 
 
Quarles has 16 years of Financial Management experience having worked previously for Global Payments, Affiliated Computer Systems and Cox Communications.  She has also assisted Registration Managers at conferences.
 
Quarles graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
