Membership in SHRM-Atlanta is granted in one of the three following classifications. Please apply for membership at the appropriate level as this will speed approval of your application:

HR Practitioner Membership ($135): HR Practitioner Membership in the Chapter is limited to persons whose professional employment and primary career interest is in the field of Human Resource management. The job has to be of a primary HR function, either generalist or specialist. Also, faculty members of colleges and universities who hold assistant, associate or full professor rank in Human Resource management, management or any of its specializations are qualified for HR Practitioner Membership. This classification also includes recent college graduates and persons pursuing career changes to Human Resources. HR Practitioner Members have the right to vote and hold elective office in the Chapter.
Affiliate Membership ($135): Affiliate Membership in the Chapter is available for professionals who work for a company that sells products, services or consulting to HR professionals. Or anyone whose job title or primary function is not a HR function. Major classifications include: HR consultants, HR service providers and attorneys. Affiliate Members have the right to vote and hold elective office in the Chapter.
Student Membership ($35): Student members are full-time university or college students (enrolled for 6 hours or more) or who belong to a chartered SHRM Student Chapter. Once a student member is no longer a student, they must apply for a regular membership. Student Members may participate in Chapter activities and are eligible to vote. Student Members may not hold Chapter office.

Corporate Membership ($135 with tiered discounts):
Corporate Membership is available to any company with five or more Human Resource professionals. Our tiered discounts are as follows: 5-10 employees join you receive a 10% discount, 11-20 employees join you receive a 20% discount, 21-50 employees join you receive a 30% discount, 51-100 employees join you receive a 40% discount and more than 100 employees join you receive a 50% discount. Corporate Membership Partners have the right to vote and hold elective office in the Chapter. If you are interested in signing your company up for a corporate membership, please contact Mary Lynn Miller at mmiller@shrmatlanta.org.

All applicants are approved by the Executive Committee. Chapter membership is on an individual basis only and not transferable from one individual to another. Membership in other SHRM affiliated chapters is not transferable to SHRM-Atlanta. Chapter membership is contingent on the timely payment of annual dues. Membership expires 12 months from the date of activation and is renewable yearly on/or before the member's anniversary date. Dual membership in SHRM-National is encouraged.

If you join today as a HR Practitioner, Affiliate or Student Member you will receive 12 months of membership - plus get a complimentary registration to your first Chapter Meeting! Please sign up by going to the "Join" page on this website or by clicking on "Join SHRM-Atlanta" at the top of the homepage. When you have completed the process and paid, you will be activated.
For HR Practitioner Members in Job Transition we are offering a membership with no fee for six months. If employment is secured within the six month period you will be asked to join as a paying member. This is a one time offer for six months only. The complimentary membership cannot be extended past the six months. Once employment is secured, we will require you to join and pay for a full year.
