Servant Leader
A servant leader is one whose primary motivation is to support and serve those who support them.  How does a leader coach and develop direct reports to ensure their job satisfaction and production is maximized and ultimately, a sense of community and teamwork is created?  Learn how great leaders subtly lead by serving those who they are leading through listening, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, foresight, stewardship, commitment to the growth of others, and building community.

Generational Diversity – Are you Ready?
The downturn in the economy has lulled some into thinking that the skills shortage is not real. However, the economy will turn around and companies will be searching for skilled talent. This talent will come from multiple generations as the Gen Y’s enter the workforce and the Baby Boomers can’t retire due to the market downturn. This session will look at the three generations that are in the US workforce today and explore their commonalities and differences and the impact that has on managing talent. The focus will be on the three legs of the HR stool: Attraction, Retention and Motivation. Participants will receive specifics about each of the three generations as related to their outlook, needs, view of authority, motivation and beliefs. Case studies will be used to tie these to the HR areas of Attraction, Retention and Motivation and creative solutions that address and embrace this diversity. The participants will come away with two new HR concepts: ‘Fair and Equal does not mean the Same’ and ‘One Size does not Fit All’.
