Change: Making It Real
Business Acumen Content Area
Towers Watson’s research and vast experience with organizations of various sizes, indicate that many large-scale change initiatives – from systems implementations and benefits changes to reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions – fail to achieve their business goals. Surprisingly, people, project planning, or technology are not the cause. Often, projects fail because the change management elements were overlooked, underestimated, or underfunded. In fact, we believe there are two types of change projects: implementation projects and implementation recovery projects, and the difference is usually the investment made in change management. This session will explore the characteristics of effective change management that engages employees and drives measurable business results.
