When, Why, and How Top Companies Use Assessments to Improve the Talent Management Process

Deciding whether personality tests, learning agility appraisals, cognitive measures, or behavioral simulations are best for your organization can be overwhelming, time consuming, and costly.  This session will review when, why, and how to use assessments to provide the greatest ROI for your Talent Management process.

Speaker: Carolyn Turknett, Co-Founder & President, Turknett Leadership Group

Carolyn Turknett is co-founder and President of Turknett Leadership Group, an Atlanta-based consulting firm providing leadership and organization development services to companies in a variety of industries. She has more than 20 years of experience in management and leadership consulting. The focus of her work is character in leadership, organization assessment and change, women in leadership, and executive team development. Lyn's consulting engagements have included leadership and executive team development, cultural assessment and change, mergers, and individual executive coaching. Lyn received her B.S. in Mathematics and her M.A. in Sociology, with special emphasis in organizational sociology, both from the University of Georgia. Ms. Turknett is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of Management, SHRM, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She has been an active supporter of United Way and other non-profits for over 20 years.  In 2012 she received the Linda K. Muir Award for Business and Law from the Georgia Women’s Institute. Ms Turknett was named the “2015 Woman of Purpose” at United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Leading a Life of Purpose event.  She was also selected as a recipient of the 2015 “Women Who Mean Business Award" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle's program to honor Atlanta's most influential business women who've made a difference in their communities, blazed a trail for others, and are leaving an incredible mark on business in Atlanta.
