Managing Multi-Generational Talent to Achieve Business Results

Join us to learn what top talent management leaders are doing to address generational differences in the workforce. Panelists will discuss how multi-generational talent management strategies ensure that the right talent will be in place to achieve the organization's mission, values, and strategic goals and objectives. Our experts will demonstrate how they are dealing with this issue. Discussion will include harnessing the benefits of the diverse perspectives across generations, as well as changes to benefits, rewards and compensation packages. We will hear how doing so has enabled the achievement of strategic objectives and benefited bottom line results. Avoiding legal pitfalls related to managing the different generations will be discussed as well.

Greg Hare is an employment lawyer who assists companies with a wide variety of human resource-related legal challenges, including claims of discrimination and harassment, union problems, wage payment disputes, employment contracts, non-compete agreements, severance agreements, executive compensation and government citations (e.g., NLRB, EEOC, DOL, OSHA, etc.). Greg completed his JD at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in Human Resources and Industrial Relations at Le Moyne College. Greg is a frequent speaker on employment law for SHRM-Atlanta and SHRM National.

Michael Esposito grew up in New York and moved to Georgia from Florida, with his wife Ann (a Registered Yoga Teacher) and two children to join The Home Depot where he worked from 2005 – 2012. He left The Home Depot in October 2012 to join The HoneyBaked Ham Company of Georgia as Vice President Human Resources and Employment Counsel. He has published over 30 articles on HR, leadership, law, and literary criticism, and has lectured extensively on these topics as well as on how to build productive relationships and networking, especially for people in transition. Mike earned his BS from the S.U.N.Y at Oneonta, MA from Kent State University, MLHR from The Ohio State University, and JD from the Seton Hall University School of Law. Michael also graduated from Coach U in 2012 and provides career and life coaching for everyone from college students to executives. Among the many organizations Michael is associated with, he currently serves on the Alumni Board of The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business; the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross; the Membership Committee of the HR Leadership Forum of Atlanta; and as a Mentor the Catholic Charities of Atlanta Leadership Class of 2014. 

Kevin Ingham is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Insight Global. Insight Global was ranked in 2013 as the world’s 6th largest IT staffing firm, hiring more than 24,000 employees in 2013. Kevin previously served as General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources for Insight Global from March 2010 to May 2013. In his current role as Senior Vice President, Kevin is responsible for all aspects of human resources for the organization. His areas of expertise include a strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and benefits administration. Prior to joining Insight Global, Kevin held similar positions at Tatum LLC and Bellsouth Corporation from 2001 to 2010. He was previously a lawyer in the Labor and Employment practice group at the law firm Alston & Bird, LLP in Atlanta, GA from 1995 to 2001, and practiced general litigation with the law firm Murphy & O’Connor in New Jersey from 1993 to 1995.

Lance Lanier serves as a Talent Consultant for Chick-fil-A,  supporting Real Estate, Restaurant Development, Innovation & Design, Supply Chain, and Corporate Communications. His previous Chick-fil-A roles include Senior Manager in Talent Strategy & Systems and Manager of Staffing & Selection. Lance joined Chick-Fil-A in 2001. His current responsibilities encompass talent strategy, culture, diversity, staff engagement, performance management and leadership development and coaching. Lance was the Human Resource Director for the Corporate Finance Division of the Coca-Cola Company prior to joining Chick-Fil-A, where he was responsible for human resource strategy, building organization capability, and equipping managers to interact more effectively with employees. He started his career in human resources at GE where he completed their Human Resource Leadership Program and gained experience in staffing, labor relations, employee relations, organization design, and change management. Lance graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Business Arts in Finance. In 1991, he received his MBA with honors from Vanderbilt University with a concentration in Human Resource Management.  

Randy Patterson serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for BlueLinx, a leading distributor of building products in North America, from their headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, Randy has enterprise-wide responsibility for the organization's human capital strategy, including compensation, talent management, organizational design, organizational effectiveness, benefits, payroll, labor relations and organizational development. Randy has also served in various other HR leadership roles throughout his career with several leading organizations in Atlanta, including SunTrust Bank and The Home Depot. Randy holds a bachelor's degree in business management and a master's degree in business administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta.
