Mastery in Minutes: Body Language, Listening, Story Telling

Advance Registration DeadlineJanuary 9, 2018

The impact of less-than-effective communication skills can be felt in all aspects of your personal and professional life. While communication is simply the act of transferring information from one place to another, the ability to do this accurately, clearly, and as intended, should not be take for granted. Communication skills are needed to speak confidently to a diverse audience, listen effectively, present your ideas appropriately, and work well in a group.

Join us as we experience three communication experts who will guide our learning in Body Language, Listening, and Story Telling. Each expert will have 30 minutes to share their communication expertise. You will leave with easy to implement takeaways that will help you feel more confident in your communication skills.

Piedmont Park is surrounded by Piedmont Avenue, Monroe Drive and 10th Street. Visitors can enter from multiple entry points such as the 12th or 14th Street gates off Piedmont Avenue, or the Charles Allen Gate off of 10th Street. A popular way to get to the park is the Atlanta Beltline which comes into the North end of the park near the Piedmont Commons, and into the South end at the intersection of 10th Street and Monroe Drive.

Marta (Subway)

Two Marta stations are nearby: Midtown and Arts Center.

Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th until you reach Piedmont Avenue. Turn left on Piedmont Avenue and walk two blocks to the 12th and 14th Street gates of Piedmont Park. (or you can continue walking on 10th Street and the park will soon be on your left side).

Exit the Arts Center Station heading south on West Peachtree street for one block. Head east (go left) on 14th Street for three blocks until you reach the 14th Street entrance to the Park.

For additional information visit or call MARTA at 404.848.5000.

Parking Garage

The parking garage is in the center of the park, and is great for visitors, especially those on their first visit. The Park shares a parking deck with the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the rate for this event will be $2.00 per hour. Piedmont Park access is on the lowest floor. The parking garage is directly next to the administrative offices. When exiting the parking garage, the offices will be on the right. Go to the furthest door to reach the front desk.
