In today’s complex employment environment, it's imperative that HR professionals, managers, and supervisors understand the value of maintaining positive employee relations within their organization.
The National Labor Relations Board’s interpretations of labor relations laws are constantly changing and it is important for HR to understand their rights and responsibilities under the law and also the rights of their employees.
This Labor Relations workshop will provide you with a well-rounded understanding of labor relations and how to navigate labor issues with a balanced and positive approach.
In this workshop you'll learn:
- The 3 main labor statutes that make up the National Labor Code:
- 1) National Labor Relations Act
- 2) Labor Management Relations Act
- 3) Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act
- What HR needs to know when employees begin seeking representation from a third party
- Steps in the organizing process, the preventative actions your organization can take to avoid costly organizing efforts, and the tools to prepare your managers to safely navigate labor relations laws in today’s workplace

Charles Craig, SHRM-CP/SHRM-CP and PHR/SPHR Instructor
Charles Craig has over twenty-five years of experience in human resources. His certifications include, SHRM’s Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR). Charles earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Brenau University. He has instructed the PHR/SPHR learning system for over ten years. Charles also instructs the SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP prep course for the University of Georgia and the PHR/SPHR Learning System for Emory University.

Would you like to transfer an upcoming registration from one event to another? Requests for transfers must be made by the event cancellation date, usually seven days prior to the event.
Cancellations must be made by the cancellation deadline for the specific event, usually seven days prior for most events. All cancellations are subject to a minimum $20 administration fee. Some events may have a higher fee, please refer to the individual event page, or to your confirmation email. Cancellations/No-Shows on the date of the event forfeit the entire registration fee. No refunds or transfer of fees will be made after the date of the event.
