Rising Leaders Virtual Program:
CTRL+ALT+DEL - Resetting Using Mindfulness & Meditation Techniques | April 23, 2020
SHRM-Atlanta's Rising Leaders community offers a variety of opportunities for young professionals to connect, learn, and have fun!
**Please note: this event is for HR professionals that are 35 years or younger only.
THIS EVENT IS VIRTUAL
Young professionals instinctively know that the world can appear really crazy, whether it's in workload, traffic, changing priorities, weather, and now an aberrant virus. But it can be hard to discern which "crazy" is part of what happens in life and which "crazy" is simply disrupting. The ability to determine which is which and how to respond in such circumstances can come with years of on the job experience, but who has time for that?! In these times, all professionals who step up and decide to lead will be the most important Leaders of the next 50 years. It will not take just one person to provide all the answers to life's challenges: it will take all of you, working together as never done before, to make the changes. This webinar will share accelerating techniques from Mindfulness & Meditation practices to teach you how to cut through the crazy, calm your mind and emotions, and break through to clarity. Attendee participation is expected as you will be directed through Mindfulness and Meditation techniques.
Learning Objectives: Participants will learn the root cause of stress, allowing them greater control of their minds and thoughts; and learn how to balance emotions and thoughts and work more productively, boosting their EQ.
This program is approved for 1 SHRM PDC & 1 HRCI CEU.
Credit codes will be distributed in our post-event survey, sent via email. Watch your inbox!
Chase Carey, MBA | Author, Speaker, Corporate Trainer, Chasing Mindfulness
Christopher Chase Carey spent 20 years in Corporate America’s’ Health Insurance and Consulting industry, in significant positions. In 1998, as a VP of Underwriting for Aetna, Inc., he contacted the Chief Medical Officer telling him of the benefits of Meditation and other Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) techniques. He offered to help the company become a major force in bringing these techniques to the health insurance industry and the people it took care of. He received a courteous reply admitting it all made sense but that he was simply too far ahead of them. Seventeen years later Aetna started teaching its employees to Meditate. Don’t wait 17 years to learn Mindfulness and Meditation. Chase teaches his personally developed Advanced forms of Meditation: Inner Essence Meditation(TM), Professional Meditation(TM), and Stress Domino Stress Reduction Meditation(TM) and is a Certified Meditation Teacher for the Sarah McLean’s SEED Method(TM). Chase became a Certified Mindful Leader in 2017.
MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING. In September 2012, in pursuing a 25 year dream, he entered the local Taekwondo School and signed up for Black Belt training. Chase trains under Mr. Jonathan Chapovsky, 4th Degree Black Belt and Chief Instructor.
AUTHOR. In 2014 he published his first book: “Chasin’ Meditation: The Step By Step Guide to a Stress-Free Life Through Meditation.” In 2019, his second book, Chasing Your Mind Warrior was published.
He is now working on his third book and plans to have it published in early 2020.
Chase is a Certified Reiki Master, Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, Certified Master Scuba Diver, Ghost Writer Tactical Firearms Enthusiast, and works as an Actor in TV and Movies (Drop Dead Diva, Necessary Roughness, Satisfaction, A&Es COMA, Sid Roth’s “It’s Supernatural,” and more).
