This lively and interactive session addresses the basic foundations for leadership training that can actually improve the business bottom-line. Both humorous and informative, the presenter will discuss why leaders fail, personal leadership implementation experiences, and successes and failures companies have experienced during the transition of management. This presentation provides all who attend the knowledge and understanding to begin implementing practical, auditable leadership implementation techniques to their individual work environments.  This sensible and business-focused combination of practices promotes employee involvement and empowerment.  Most importantly, realistic leadership implementation techniques promote continuous improvement in communication, productivity, employee satisfaction, and bottom-line business results.

Speaker: Michael C. Watkins Jr., Director, IT, Competitive Solutions, Inc.

Michael Watkins Jr. is the Director of Information Technology with Competitive Solutions Inc. (CSI). Michael’s extensive experience allows him to bring a common-sense approach to build software solutions that assist organizations in managing business performance and business process transformations. Michael is also a dynamic trainer and is often featured as the key speaker facilitating executive, middle management, and front line employee training sessions for a variety of top organizations including the US Army, Agrium, Pfizer, McDonald’s and BAE Systems. His interpersonal skills and goal-directed training style has achieved great success amongst CSI clients. Michael earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Indiana State University and is a 15 year veteran of the information technology & software industry. During Michael’s career of practicing Information Technology (IT), he has held various management positions. Michael worked as a Quality Control Technician at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, progressed to managing the implementation team with Inovis, and joined Competitive Solutions Incorporated (CSI) as the Product Manager of Software Development.
