Dwight has over 35 years of experience in the HR Profession, in the United States and other countries. His breadth of knowledge encompasses Employee Relations, Training & Development, EEO, Compensation, Benefits, and more in various industries and services. Dwight has been working at AT&T for over 20 years, currently directing a team of Employee Relations Managers supporting over 30,000 AT&T Mobility employees. Dwight received his undergraduate degree from Boston College and graduate degrees from the University of Georgia and the University of Toledo. Upon his completion of his bachelor’s degree, Dwight joined Peace Corps serving in Niger and Chad, Africa. Dwight has volunteered for SHRM-Atlanta since 1998 supporting various areas of the organization, and prior volunteered with other SHRM affiliated chapters in Georgia and Ohio.
Tywana Minor, MBA, MHRM, SHRM-SCP, SPHR | ADP
In her role she leads and executes a broad range of strategic human capital management initiatives across a global enterprise wide function, Enterprise Learning as well as the national field operations. Tywana has over 20 years of progressive and results driven human resource experience spanning various industries. She has an extensive background in talent management, leadership, employee relations, workforce planning and driving outcomes for large scale initiatives which she has done on a national and global level. In 2015, she served as President for SHRM-Atlanta. She has a genuine passion for the HR profession, helping to bring others along and giving back to the community. She is also an advocate for challenging the status quo and ongoing personal development. On a personal note, Tywana has one daughter, Deja who is currently in college and aspiring to be a journalist. In her spare time, Tywana has a personal goal to run a ½ marathon in all 50 states and all 7 continents. Tywana earned an MBA and MHRM from the Keller Graduate School of Management, and a BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Clark Atlanta University. She is also SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.
Christine C. Browning, SHRM-CP, PHR | Year Up
Christine Browning serves as partner development manager for the Atlanta office of Year Up, a national non-profit workforce development program for urban young adults. Year Up’s mission is to close the opportunity divide by providing high school graduates ages 18-24 with the skills, experiences and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. Christine is responsible for establishing new partner relationships, as well as growing current partnerships. Christine has over 17 years’ experience in partner relations in various disciplines, including marketing, advertising, talent management and the non-profit sector. Christine works closely with partner organizations to find solutions that add overall value to the organization and its workforce. Christine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina and has received her Professional in Human Resources certification. She is a graduate of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Leadership North Fulton Class of 2012. Christine has served as ambassador and vice president of GEMs with SHRM-Atlanta. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Chapter of NAAAHR and was vice president of fundraising for three years.

Holly is the Talent & HR Manager at OneSpring, an Atlanta based consulting practice whose mission is to help companies create software applications people love using with expertise in Customer Transformation Experience Transformation, User Experience Consulting, Process Improvement & Automation, Mobile Strategy, and Software Development. Holly is an accomplished, energetic, and resourceful leader with a history of achieving business outcomes aligned with organizational mission, strategy, and goals, using a consultative approach. With over 20+ years of experience in recruiting, Holly has worked with diverse business maturity models from start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations leading operations, sales, and talent management from 5 employees to over 1,500. In addition to volunteering at SHRM-Atlanta, Holly serves on the executive technology committee at GNFCC called Tech400, a mentor for GNFCC Women in Business, and a Small Group Leader supporting middle school students at Gwinnett Church.
Barbara Bell-Dees, SHRM-CP, PHR | NASCO

Barbara Bell-Dees is the Vice President of Human Resources & People Services at NASCO. Barbara is charged with formulating the company's strategy for ongoing integrated talent management. She is focusing on developing NASCO's major competitive differentiator - its people. She has over thirty years of experience in HR management and administration. Barbara has been with NASCO for over twelve years and has overseen the company's exponential growth from 239 to 700 associates. She attended DeKalb Community College in Clarkston, GA and has earned her PHR as well as her SHRM-CP designations. Barbara chaired the When Work Works initiative for SHRM-Atlanta for two years and is currently serving in the volunteer leadership position as the EVP for the Member Relations team. Through her efforts and dedication, NASCO was named as a local winner of the When Work Works award recognizing exemplary employers for creating effective workplaces to increase business and employee success as well as the Atlanta Journal & Constitution’s Top Place to Work award for the past seven consecutive years in the mid-size company category.

Karan Ferrell-Rhodes is the Founder of Shockingly Different Leadership, an international leadership development and human capital consultancy, which provides contract project support for Talent Development, Human Resources, and Organizational Development teams. Karan and the SDL family is renowned for both helping organizations develop their high potential talent, as well as for providing on-demand support when the scaling of “people-related” initiatives is mission-critical. She holds a Bachelors in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Georgia and a MBA with a triple concentration in Organizational Development, Human Resources & Marketing from Florida State University. She is also certified as a High Potential Leadership Coach, a Senior Professional in Human Resources, a Master Facilitator from the World Institute of Action Learning, and is also certified in several leadership assessment tools such as MBTI, DiSC, and the Fascination Advantage. Akilah Charlemagne is an influential Human Resources Business Partner and Relationship Builder with 18 years of experience working with Sales, Higher Education, Healthcare and Non-Profit. She helps organizations deliver exceptional results in Recruitment, Talent Development, Employee Engagement and Client Satisfaction. Akilah’s passion and purpose is to create remarkable experiences where professionals feel safe, energized and empowered to take risks and propel their careers forward! Prior to joining ADP in 2015, Akilah experienced a period of career transition, professional growth and learned the importance of personal branding & authentically connecting with others. She earned her BA in International Relations with a minor in Spanish from Mount Holyoke College. In her role as EVP of Workforce Readiness & Community Volunteerism, Akilah will be responsible for leading SHRM-Atlanta’s strategic approach to offering HR skills-based community volunteerism opportunities that focus on SHRM-Atlanta’s and the SHRM Foundation’s highly desired workforce readiness initiatives, including: Youth, Veterans, Unemployed/Underemployed, the Aging Workforce, and Building Inclusive Cultures. She will work with her team to establish SHRM-Atlanta as ‘purpose-driven’ and an organization that gives back to the community, and create opportunities for our members to build peer-to-peer relationships volunteering as “Team SHRM-Atlanta”. Akilah was born in St. Vincent & the Grenadines, grew up in New York City and has lived in Atlanta (off and on) since 2001. She enjoys traveling with her family and friends and is the reigning UNO champion in the Charlemagne home.
